Wish List
Generous relatives gave Stacey and I some cash for Christmas. While I was considering whether to use this surprise fundage to reconstitute my poker fund or for some other purpose instead, it occurred to me to add up the total cost of everything in my Amazon wish list. The current total, for the record, is $545.70.
That exercise led me wish that someone would do an analysis of all Amazon wishlists. I'd like to know what the average wishlist's dollar value is, what the average price of a wishlist item is, and how that average compares to price of the average item purchased on Amazon. (Do people wish for things that are more expensive than the things they normally buy? Or are wishlists more "to do" lists for future purchases than actual "wishing" lists?)
