What You Should Be Watching: Quintuplets

Although no replacement for Andy Richter Controls the Universe, which I say without hyperbole was the best half-hour narrative comedy show ever, you should tune in to Quintuplets, one of Fox's new summer shows, in which Richter plays the father of (wait for it... wait for it...) teenage quintuplets.

The writing is astonishingly funny (especially considering how tired the four-camera sitcom format has become), a couple of the teenage actors are quite good (Johnny Lewis as Pearce, especially), and Andy Richter is predictably excellent. This show makes me want to spec it, which would be a tremendously bad idea considering my current writing goals, but still.

Skip Fox's official website, which is awful, and set your Tivo, or sit down in front of the television at 8:30 on Wednesday (7:30 central).
