Well now Paul Wellstone really is dead.
After the plane crash but before the election, it seemed as though he was still alive, in the sense that at least it was possible that his greasy opponent, Norm Coleman, the antithesis of pretty much everything he stood for, would be kept out of office by his successor. Now not only have we gotten Norm Coleman, we've gotten a Senate, House, and White House controlled by war-mongering lunatics (in the case of the first two) and a war-mongering monkey (in the third case). No doubt they'll do irreperable damage to pretty much everything.
Plech.
I do not feel like a better person for my bitterness, but for today, it makes me feel a little better, at least. Perhaps I will be more constructive tomorrow.
