Tucson, AZ

It seems now like less the vacation it was going to be when we planned it, but I'm in Tucson today until Sunday with Stacey. She is attending a NALP conference at the Westin La Paloma. I was originally going to come along to spend a four-day weekend writing (and I still plan to spend the four-day weekend writing), but that's less a novelty to Captain Unemployment than to Captain Decipher.

Tucson is both smaller and larger than I remembered. The bellman told us the city has a population of about 700,000. We certainly didn't see them on the drive from the airport. Then again, from the map Hertz gave us, we do appear to have skirted the city.

I imagine that blogging will be an important and inevitable distraction from writing over the weekend, so stay tuned.
