Three Stories and an Argument

At the TED conference, Larry Lessig, the man behind Creative Commons, presented Three Stories and an Argument. The video, which is about twenty minutes long and which you can watch either below or at the TED site, is required viewing for people who create, people who publish or produce, and people with kids.

Seriously, it's required viewing. If you don't have twenty minutes now, that's fine, but block out the time and get it done.

You're right. That is great! Except, what am I supposed to do now? Other than renew my Flickr and Facebook accts. I will say that I've gotten to an age where I feel much more compelled to pay for software and music.

Nicely encapsulates many people's thinking on copyright and self-created media.

Plus which, the clips are hilarious.

I think YouTube is the competition he's talking about already. I found all those clips he played within seconds there.

Interesting.

There was another talk someone linked me to about the difference between how movie studios make money and how video game companies make money that was very well put-together.
