This morning was the beginning
This morning was the beginning of the third week of the running regime. This week's ratio: One minute and thirty seconds of running to three minutes and thirty seconds of walking. Today, this was repeated ten times, for a total of fifty minutes. (It's a math regime, as well.) All went reasonably well until the last one minute and thirty seconds of running corresponded almost exactly to the very steep portion of the hill on the way back up to our house. I thought I was going to expel my lungs and that my legs were going to detonate. The upside, I guess, is that now I know about how long it takes to run up that whole steep part.
I'm not sure the hill running can continue when we're doing higher proportions of running. Sure, we'll be marginally more fit by them, but I'd have to have been three times the man to have run even another thirty seconds after that, even having reached relatively level ground.
