The Thing That Should Not Be
I was surveying the Walmart website (for purposes of creative research, for the record) when I came across the Back to Basics Egg & Muffin Toaster. That there exists a single appliance that both toasts bread and cooks eggs is horrifying enough, but after reading on, I discovered that (emphasis mine):
This combination wide-slot toaster, egg cooker and meat warmer will perform each function separately or all at once....The Thing That Should Not Be, offered for sale at The Store That Should Not Be. The end, as they say, is near.

I've seen this in person when my wife drug me to Walmart for some reason.
It seems only fitting for Walmart to feature a device apparently geared for recreating the Egg McMuffin in as few steps and as little time as possible. Most Walmarts around here (Austin, TX) have McDonaldses built in - so perhaps it appeals to the do-it-yourselfer that shops there and does not have the space or coordination for one or two pans and a toaster.
