The Mathson family reunion was a fine event, indeed, held in Whitehall, Wisconsin, at a park shelter remarkably devoid of graffiti of any kind. Outstanding barbeque sandwiches were consumed by all, and Ernie (Stacey's cousin's husband) brought a mean pan of brownies. Bocce ball was played with a golf ball and set of croquet balls, this following a game of basketball played by a bunch of men old enough to know better. (Is your cousin's spouse also your cousin? Your cousin-in-law? Or is that person just your cousin's spouse? Which doesn't even address the question of whether your spouse's cousin's spouse bears any relation to you whatsoever. Questions like these are why family reunions only happen every few years, I imagine.)
