The Grossest Polluter
I took my car to the dealership yesterday, where I paid them $120 to learn that there is nothing wrong with it — it is perfectly within the legal emission limits. Today I returned to the place that failed me on Monday. They re-tested the Focus for free and confirmed the dealership's conclusion. I demanded (and received) the thirty dollars back that I paid them when this whole fiasco began. However, because they had branded me a gross polluter on Monday, and those results were automatically transmitted to the DMV when the test was completed, I also had to take my car to a "Test-only" location so they could confirm the A-OK diagnosis. Which, of course, cost me sixty bucks.
Bottom line: Don't get your car smog checked at the garage next to Rally's at Brand and San Fernando.
