Repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

Stacey and I get our long distance service from Working Assets, a company that gives some percentage or another of its earnings to various lefty organizations. They also operate credit card and wireless businesses that do much the same thing.

Working Assets frequently sends around e-mails enjoining their members to petition all and whomever to do various lefty things. I ignore lots of them as impractical and pointless; sure, it would be funny if Scooter served his time in Guantanamo, but sending a letter or e-mail to that effect is a waste of their time and mine.

This morning, however, we're fighting "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." The specific call is for you to contact your Representative and ask them to support the Military Readiness Enhancement Act (H.R. 1246), introduced by Rep. Marty Meehan (D-MA).

"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is, as you're aware, an abomination against the country's founding priciniples of freedom and equality. You can get on board at Working Assets' hassle-your-Rep page, or write the letter yourself.

Hmm, my rep was already on board, so I modified the e-mail to thank her for her support. Thanks for the reminder!
