Recant in the Vineyard

Upon continued consideration, I take back what I said about Dogs in the Vineyard, which, in summary, was that I'd rather play the setting with different rules.

This much I still agree with: It's a stronger dramatic setting than RPG ruleset. That said, if I was going to play Dogs again — which I'm sure I will — I'd rather play it with the rules as written than with GURPS or BRP or whatever. Though, actually, I'd like to play it both ways, and then compare, so as not to be having this argument with myself completely out of my ass.

Will: You are not off the hook. We are still going to have this discussion.

Let's us arrange to have our discussion before and after we play the game in the days around Gen Con SoCal, when I'll be in LA, killing time before Thanksgiving.

It is, as they say, on.
