Pulp Gamer Po8 Review

The Pulp Gamer podcast has posted a Pieces of Eight review that's quite complimentary. I'm sure we'll mine for it for glowing publicity quotes before the week is out. Give a listen.

As an added bonus, the review clocks in at less than twenty minutes, which is the duration — podcasters! take note! staple to forehead! — over which no podcast should ever go.

Congrats on a good review! I'm gonna have to listen to it when I get home. :) I'm looking forward to trying my hand at Po8, sounds like a neat idea.

Also, a little off-topic.. but I disagree that podcasts should stick to under 20 minutes as a general rule. Some should, absolutely.. but for a decent discussion of any mildly complex topic, 20 minutes is just getting warmed up. To me, it'd be like saying all TV shows should stick to 30 minutes. For a lot of TV shows sure, that works. But for any kind of decently complex plot or discussion of a subject, that's just not enough time. Even when you take a plot in pieces (like a single episode of Babylon 5) you still often need at least an hour just for that piece.

Jeff, Thanks for the kind words and pointing folks our way. By the way, we did a review of Cthulhu 500 last year (and we were quite complimentary in that one too, if my memory serves me right). I cannot guarantee that podcast was under 20 minutes (most likely it wasn't) as we had a different format back then.

Thanks for the tip-off on the Cthulhu 500 review; I wasn't aware that all y'all had done one. Downloading it now.

For reference, all the rest of you, it's at a really long URL that I've made tiny for your convenience: http://tinyurl.com/yxpf7x.
