More Progress

Whew!

The graphic design you see before you is what jefftidball.com is now supposed to look like. (You should be seeing a landscape-oriented picture in the upper right corner, a jefftidball.com logo beneath that, a horizontal mustardy stripe that plunges behind the main column of text, and a dotted vertical line that separates left from right. If you are not seeing those things, your browser has perhaps not reloaded the styles document. Try reloading.)

There is still work to do. Archive and comments pages must be formatted to match the main page. I'd like to make the corner image rotate randomly through a large selection of images each time the page is reloaded; same for the quote beneath the logo. Back-end work must be done on the shitfilter to automate and upgrade it. What's more, the shitfilter will become your jefftidball.com guide to weeding shit from all forms of what-have-you. Books, movies, theme parks, coffee roasts ó the possibilities are endless! I haven't decided whether 1,000 blank white cards and the jefftidball.com blacklist will return or not. Your input is welcome on this topic.

I'm sure there's even more to do than what's enumerated above, but that gives you a taste of what's to come.

Looks great Jeff!

I don't have many browsers installed at the moment, but it looks exactly as described in IE6 and real close in Opera. In Opera the only problem is that the gold bar across the top doesn't line up at the edges (about 10 pixels too low in the middle, I'd guess). Trying to make an image line up with the page's background image? Not sure why Opera would interpret it any differently, maybe some kind of margin or padding that Opera sees that IE doesn't. I'll e-mail you a screen shot.

Congrats getting CSS to work for you!

Looks really nice, but doesn't feel the same with 1,000 Blank White Cards. I know BWC has been a little slow lately, but I for one want to see it return and eventually get to 1,000.

Otherise, looks great.

Nice. I'm looking at it with Mozilla's Firefox, and everything looks okay. I quite like the landscape images and the simplicity of everything. Elegant, modern, and very tight.

The mustard stripe in the back cuts maybe too close into the text. It doesn't look intentional, frankly. Design-wise, though, I like what you're after with it. I am jealous and inspired.
