Last Thursday, I promised "more
Last Thursday, I promised "more tomorrow" and delivered nothing. Nothing. I, for one, would like to know who the hell I think I am. Honestly.
The new house can be found at 4515 Vista Superba, which I think is a Street, but could be a Drive. When we stopped by over the weekend, we met one of our neighbors and her daughter, both of whom were pleasant. It will be a nice street to live on, and since it dead ends about four hundred feet past our house, there will be no through traffic.
We are thinking about ripping up the living room and hallway carpet and refinishing the hardwood floors underneath. We understand that the refinishing of wood floors is very messy business.
I have not yet had a chance to sample the nearby donut shop, and I have some trepidation — but a great deal of hope — about it. You see, there are donuts, and then there are donuts. Winchell's and Yum-Yum peddle very disappointing donuts, I've discovered, and while the nearby donut shop is neither of those, I would be very disappointed to have the potential of tasty donuts near home only to have it yanked away and replaced with sub-standard fare. Donuts, you can clearly see, are to be taken very seriously. Going by word count, donuts are to be taken roughly three times as seriously as ripping up carpet and refinishing the hardwood floors underneath.
