I'm a member of a ten-person writing group that meets once a week, or so; when no one's written anything, we don't meet. All of us were in the MFA program together at USC. Last night we got to talking about other writing. Non-screenwriting writing, that is. Amid talk of poetry and Bobby's unfinished novel, I got to thinking about Running, the novella I wrote as a sample for my grad school applications three (or is it four?) years ago now. Some of you have read it; it's been posted on previous incarnations of this web site, though not, perhaps, since it stopped being Modern Music and began being jefftidball.com. Anyway, I present Running, freshly formatted and PDF'd in 229K for the year 2003. If you should happen to read and enjoy it, a brief e-mail or comment to this post would be entirely welcome.
