I started at Decipher yesterday, as planned. This entails a new daily schedule which allows me to:
- Sleep a little later (though I must avoid sleeping too much later, lest I waste all my time in bed),
- Write in the morning (though these past two days, this time has been used for catching up on errands and doing extra LotR reading), and
- Drive after rush hour (which puts me at work in a little over a half hour — a vast improvement over the Beverly Hills commute).
My computer sounds like an aircraft. Apparently this is because it has been upgraded with an aftermarket G3 card, which has its own dedicated fan, right on the board. In addition to being loud, my computer is slow. Happily, the entire RPG/Miniatures Studio is getting new computers in January, so it's only for the short term. And at least it's MacOS.
My initial job responsibilities involve:
- Reading a heaping assload of material,
- Reading a heaping assload of material, and
- Reading a heaping assload of material.
So I had best get back to it.
