How cool is this? I
I was skeptical when I heard Alien vs. Predator was going to be made, because the premise does not containóin fact, it seems to rule outóa protagonist you'd want to get behind. But the storyline described in the featurette by writer-director Paul Anderson sounds awesome. Color me converted. (Paul W.S. Anderson of Resident Evil, mind you, not Paul Thomas Anderson, who would make no damn sense at all.) I kept thinking, "How friggin' awesome would it be to work on the game based on this?"
I checked the imdb page for AVP (as they're abbreviating it) and saw that Lance Henriksen has been cast as Charles Weyland. Henriksen played Bishop in Aliens, of course. Since the capital-c Company in Aliens was called Weyland-Yutani, one must surmise that the Bishop-style line of androids (whatever they're calledódo we ever get a model name?) are modeled, physically at least, on the company founder himself.
How cool is that? How big a geek am I? w00t!
On the other hand, here's just what the world doesn't need. Alien vs. Garfield, anyone? Predator vs. Garfield?
