House: Warmed

We had a housewarming party on Saturday, and saw many folks we haven't seen recently, and also met lots of spouses, SOs, and family members (mostly of FFG staffers) who we hadn't met before. It was great to see those of you who could make it, and we wish the rest of you could have made it.

(It came to our attention that some people we thought we had invited somehow had their e-mailed invitations go astray. If you think this might include you, drop me a line with your current e-mail address.)

We have a good house for entertaining, and intend to continue, though perhaps with smaller groups. Preparation, party, and aftermath took most of three days! Word on the street is that we're hosting a Con of the North membership party in the coming weeks, though past an initial inquiry two and a half months ago, haven't heard anything more about it.

Other than that, the past four weeks or so (well, the after-work evenings of them) have been full of layout for Glimpse of the Abyss, which I finally delivered today. Just two more small tasks left to do for Atlas, which will hopefully be done by the weekend.

Up soon: Organizing that via–video chat writing group I was talking about right before we moved.

I in particular was very disappointed I had to miss your party, grrrrr! Ruth and I would love to come over anytime to play with Edward and Abby just say the word, and you don't even have to clean up for us.

Congratulations on the housewarming! I think this means you are officially moved in.

I shall remain silent about having to share my e-mail address again, Since I have never changed it over the last 15 years.

Dave Wheeler, I hereby declare you unjustly forgotten in the invitation list-making. (Even though I'm pretty sure you didn't have your AOL e-mail address in 1992, although I guess it's not technically impossible.) I owe you a beer.
