Health Care For Kids

Since November, John Kerry has continued to maintain his website at johnkerry.com as a platform to continue advancing his public agenda in the Senate. One of the interesting thing's he's doing there is encouraging citizens to "co-sponsor" certain legislative initiatives.

Of Kerry's issues during the election, I identified most closely with his health care proposals. Kerry is now calling for those who support this agenda to register their support for the Kids Come First Act.

The state of health care is a true crisis in this country. If you believe something should be done about it, I urge you to read Kerry's proposal and consider adding your name to the list of those who support it.

Isn't this duplicative of the child health grant programs -- CHIPs -- under the Clinton administration?

Just askin'

Yes, it's similar. It, like CHIPS, will never be passed by a Republican Congress. Clearly, all that mattered then (as now) was giving rich people more money. Why do people vote for these assholes?
