Friday is allowance day, so yesterday I bought The Complex, just as I threatened I would last week. I listened to almost all of it on the commute home and found myself thinking "best concept album ever," in the Comic Book Guy voice, execpt without irony. The album is just awesome: beautifully driving, inquisitive, relevant, deconstructionist. The musicianship and understanding of the rock idiom are complete. The "unmasked" supplements written by the creators on blueman.com are well worth reading.
