An interesting read, and largely descriptive of many gamers. At the same time, his GSFs seem more to me to be expressions of ideals as opposed to actual behavioral guidelines.

For example, if we try to include everyone *as much as is reasonably possible* it usually enriches us all. There is nothing at all wrong with the idea that we should try. Hell, life would be better for everyone if we all did.

There is also an assumption that gamers are all introverted people who don't examine their lives and attitudes critically, which I'm not sure is true. There are quite a few gamers witht their shit together.

Agreed that taking any of the behaviors to either extreme is a bad plan.

I'm not sure how many gamers — or how many people, for that matter — I think truly examine their lives in a really critical, introspective way. (And then do something about it.) Maybe I'd be surprised.
