Diana Jones Shortlist, and Thanks

If you follow gaming news you've probably seen the press release, which has been making its way around the internet, but Pieces of Eight has been named to the shortlist for the Diana Jones Award this year. It's absolutely needless to say it, but I'm stunned, flattered, and incredibly proud.
The Diana Jones Award is conferred by a mostly anonymous group of some of the most respected opinion-makers in gaming, and their recognition for Po8 blows me away.
I guess the only thing that could be better than being shortlisted would be winning the award, but in all honesty, I would be hard pressed to care less. It is truly, truly an honor to be shortlisted.
Also, since neither of them were at the Origins Awards ceremony last Saturday when I thanked them before the assemblage, I would very much like to thank John Nephew and Jerry Corrick here for everything they've done to bring Pieces of Eight to market, and everything they've done for me personally since, oh, 1995. It would all have been absolutely impossible without them. John (unwisely) agreed to publish my first card game back in the day (the lamentable Spammers), and Jerry is undoubtedly the hardest-working man in the gaming business. A thousand thank-yous to both of them.

congrats! that's wonderful.
Congrats again, that's awesome!
I owned Spammers, ha ha, of course, you gave it to me and I never played it.
I hope you win the Diana Ross award!
Yay you! Seriously!
Whoo and Hoo! What an honor! (And quite deserved.)
Spammers isn't a bad game, it's just not sublimely good as Cthulhu 500 and now Pieces of Eight are.
