Common iPod Fallacies #37: "I have a soundtrack; I must be a superhero."

I went running by myself this morning because Stacey's knees were bothering her and it seemed wisest not to aggravate them by running on cement. We're trying to find a less stressful surface over an appropriate distance in the local area, but haven't been successful yet. As I was going by myself, I strapped on my iPod. I haven't listened to music while exercising in recent memory, and it was a rush. Literally: the first two songs on the playlist I was listening to were "Dreamline" and "The Spirit of Radio."

However.

As it turns out, I am not a superhero.

I did manage to keep up more or less the same pace over 45 minutes (this week it's two minutes running to three walking), but I believe I have successfully kicked my own ass. Good thing there's a day or rest between running days on this program, because I don't think I'm going to be up for it tomorrow.
