Christian and Owen, who have
Christian and Owen, who have been running Decipher's RPG studio since they brought virtually the whole Last Unicorn Games team intact through Wizards of the Coast to Decipher, are leaving the company. We all found out about two weeks ago just after they gave their notice to the powers that be; apparently now the news is public. Both are going to a new division at Upper Deck. Matt Colville has been appointed Interim Poobah of Roleplaying Games, which is all to the good. All to the better is the fact that I will get Owen's office, where I will have a desk large enough to work on for a change. The private room will be nice, but the desk is the real thing.
There's apparently been no serious discussion of scrapping the whole Los Angeles studio and moving RPG production to Virginia. I suppose you never know — it's not like they'd be discussing it with us in the trenches — but I'm optimistic.
