Big Ben and Other London Signage
One is required by law to take a picture of Big Ben when one visits London. Hence:

But then everyone laughs, "Silly American, you have not taken a picture of Big Ben. Big Ben is the name of the bell inside the tower. But thank you for playing Have-I-or-have-I-not-taken-a-picture-of-Big-Ben."
They are not so keen on having people onto the grounds of the Houses of Parliament, where tower, clock, and bell stand. Perhaps that is why they made the clock so big.

The Sunday afternoon after we saw those things, we decided to go to the Design Museum, which was quite marvelous, and about which more will be blogged at a later time. The important discovery on the way was this...

...which was a damn good thing, as we were pretty sure we had come to the end of London. Following that sign — and I swear I am not making this up — we came to this:

I love taking pictures of signs, and that Sunday in London was a great day for sign photoage (which is pronounced "faux-TWASGHE," and thank you for asking). More pictures of London things that are not signs some other day.
