An Ars Magica Interlude

Before I say one more word about GenCon SoCal (to tell you how the Godstorm tournament turned out, for example), I must advise you of the brilliance of the newly released Ars Magica Fifth Edition.

Ars Magica has always been a good game. I feel as though I acquitted myself admirably enough when I was the line developer. But after spending about ten minutes looking through the new edition while I ate fruit and yogurt, I can say without any reservation whatsoever that this book is destined to become the definitive edition of the game. If anyone had any doubts that David Chart was the man to bring this RPG to its ideal state (and I would be very surprised to learn that anyone did), those doubts certianly must be dispelled by this most excellent release.

Double-plus kudos to all involved, and be sure to check out the Semita Errabunda things on the Atlas Ars Magica page. Even if you've never played Ars Magica. Actually, especially if you've never played Ars Magica.
