A few days ago I was thinking about how, in movies, when cars get in accidents, their horns get stuck in the "blare" position. They just keep blaring and blaring and blaring through the remainder of the scene. "I bet that never happens in real life," I thought. "That's probably just something screenwriters invented to add continuing jarring discord to scenes of automotive destruction."
Then, just now, while I was walking to the FedEx drop box on the corner, this one car plowed right into this other car right in the middle of the intersection of Venice and Grand View. And you know what? That thing with the horn does happen in real life!
(PS: Both drivers were fine.)
